Your data stays in the active Bizio deployment data plane, we never sell it, and you own your business data.
1. Who we are
Bizio ("Bizio", "we", "us", "our") operates the Bizio business management platform available at biz-io.com and via our mobile applications.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
2. What information we collect
We collect the following categories of information:
Account information: Your name, email address, phone number, business name, ABN, and billing details when you register for or use Bizio.
Business data: Client records, invoices, quotes, job details, notes, and financial data that you input into Bizio. This data belongs to you.
Usage data: Log files, IP addresses, browser type, pages visited, and feature usage to help us improve the product.
Payment data: Bizio's customer-facing Stripe and Square checkout integration is not currently available. Bank-transfer details may be stored for invoice instructions. Bizio does not collect full card numbers through the current product.
Communications: Emails, support tickets and any feedback you send us.
3. How we use your information
We use your information to: - Provide, operate and improve the Bizio platform - Process payments and send invoices and receipts - Send transactional emails - Provide customer support - Monitor security and prevent fraud - Comply with legal obligations - Send product updates and marketing communications, with opt-out available at any time
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.
4. Data storage and security
Bizio production data is stored in the data plane for the edition you use. The international edition and China mainland edition are isolated deployments with separate runtimes, databases, object storage, cache, logs and secrets. Browser-visible public pages identify the active deployment data plane. We implement industry-standard security measures including: - Encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256) - Regular automated backups - Role-based access controls for staff - Annual penetration testing
Despite these measures, no transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your Bizio account.
5. Disclosure of information
We may share your information with:
Service providers: hosting and data-plane providers for the active Bizio edition, Resend for email delivery, and Intercom for support. A payment provider may be added only when an integration is released and configured; this policy will be updated when provider processing becomes active. These providers are contractually obligated to handle data only as directed by us.
Legal requirements: If required by law, court order, or government authority.
Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition or sale of Bizio assets, your data may be transferred. We will notify you of any such change.
We do not share your business data, such as clients, invoices, or quotes, with any third party without your explicit consent.
6. Your rights
Under the Australian Privacy Act, you have the right to: - Access the personal information we hold about you - Request correction of inaccurate information - Request deletion of your data, subject to legal retention requirements - Opt out of marketing communications at any time - Lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au

Bizio uses essential cookies required for authentication and security, and optional analytics cookies to understand how the product is used. You can disable non-essential cookies in your browser settings.
8. Data retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law, such as financial records for 7 years under Australian tax law.
